프랑스를 기반으로 활동하는 윤희(b.1950)는 작가의 의도와 자연적 요소의 개입을 조화시켜 작품을 제작하는 조각가이자 화가이다. 그녀의 작품은 2002년과 2003년 FIAC에 두 차례 소개되어 전세계의 미술 관계자로부터 찬사를 받았다.
윤희는 자신의 작품은 그 스스로 ‘되는 것’이라고 말한다. 어떤 것이 된다는 것은 진전이 되었든 퇴보가 되었든, 일정 지속 기간이 흐르는 동안 상태나 외형의 변화가 일어났음을 의미한다. 스스로 되는 형상에 대한 기다림은 물질 그 자체의 본질과 시간성에 대한 작가의 관심을 반영한다. 그녀는 시간, 온도, 산소 등 자연적 요소들이 작품 제작에 개입하도록 하여 작가의 의도와 자연적 요소가 조화되도록 한다.
《Projete》 연작은 검은색 천연 안료를 먹을 개듯 희석시켜 작가가 고안한 전용 도구를 이용해 방향과 힘의 세기를 순간적, 직관적으로 결정하여 내던지듯 그려 나간 것이다. 점성이 되직한 곳은 뭉쳐서 응집되고 묽은 곳은 흘러내리며 결국 스스로 그 형태가 이루어지는 것이다. 작가가 의도한 것과 우연적 결과가 절충되며 하나의 총체로서의 형태가 완성된다. 가녀린 몸을 지닌 작가의 작품이라고는 믿기 힘들 만큼 폭풍우가 휘몰아치는 듯한 격렬한 에너지와 기운을 한껏 느낄 수 있다.

Yoon Hee (b.1950), based in France, is a sculptor and painter who harmonizes the artist's intentions with the intervention of natural elements in her artwork. Her works were featured twice at FIAC in 2002 and 2003, gaining a reputation among art professionals worldwide.Yoon Hee states that her works become what they are by themselves. Becoming something implies that there has been a change in state or form over a certain period, whether it's progress or regress. The anticipation for the self-becoming form reflects the artist's interest in the essence and temporality of the material itself. She allows natural elements such as time, temperature, and oxygen to intervene in the process of creating the artwork, harmonizing the artist's intentions with natural elements.
Her series "Projete" involves diluting black natural pigments as if grinding an ink stick and using a specially designed tool invented by the artist to determine the direction and intensity of force in a momentary, intuitive manner, throwing and drawing them out. The artworks form their shapes intuitively from the pigments aggregating and flowing down within a canvas. The artist's intentions and coincidental outcomes are compromised, resulting in one complete form. One can feel the intense energy and vigor akin to a raging storm, making it hard to believe that these works come from the delicate body of the artist.
